Assessment of Interim Results of the Implementation of the Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Voronezh Region for the Period up to 2035

Subject. The interim results of the implementation of the socio-economic development strategy of the Voronezh Region, achieved in the medium-term period ending in 2024.
Purpose. To assess the interim results of the implementation of the development strategy of the Voronezh Region and to substantiate directions for its adjustment.
Methodology. We used methods of economic-statistical, comparative, and content analysis. The information base of the analysis includes data from the Federal State Statistics Service, the socio-economic development strategy of the Voronezh Region, and those of several other regions.
Results. A positive outcome identified during the analysis is that actual values exceeded the planned levels for several indicators (per capita monetary income of the population, total residential floor space per capita, etc.). A negative outcome is a substantial shortfall relative to the strategic targets for other indicators (volume of investment in fixed capital, innovation activity of organizations, share of innovative goods, works, and services in the total volume of shipped goods, works performed, and services, etc.). The obtained assessment of the interim results of the implementation of the development strategy of the Voronezh Region has made it possible to update the characteristics of its current position in the socio-economic space of the Russian Federation and the Central Federal District, and to determine directions for action by the regional state authorities to adjust the said strategy.
Conclusions. The research results presented in the article are intended to contribute to improving the practice of strategic management of the socio-economic development of the Voronezh Region, including through the adjustment of the current strategy, during which its content and management mechanism should be updated.
