Abstract

Interpopulation variability of Carum carvi in natural conditions of Dagestan on the basis of the morphological traits complex has been studied. The different nature of the traits variability is due to the peculiarities of habitat. The ecological optimum of growth for Carum carvi is formed at altitudes of 2200-2300 m above sea level. The received results are important for an evaluation of genetic resources of wild-growing populations of Carum carvi from Mountainous Dagestan as initial material for selection.
