Abstract

The purpose of the work is medico-geographical assessment of climatic comfort of the territory of the Northern Kazakhstan with the help of the most informative bioclimatic parameters, and establishing the relationship between them and morbidity of the population. Materials and methods. The basic bioclimatic indicators were calculated on the basis of long-term measurements of meteorological characteristics of 4 administrative regions of the Northern Kazakhstan and 50 meteorological stations for 35-year period and their correlations with climatologically conditioned classes of diseases: respiratory diseases, diseases of skin and subcutaneous tissue, diseases of genitourinary system, neoplasms. Results and discussion. On the basis of point-rating estimation of quantitative values of climatic and medical and statistical indicators the medical and bioclimatic zoning of 4 administrative regions of the Northern Kazakhstan was carried out. The areas with the most and least favourable living conditions and different levels of morbidity of the population were revealed. Conclusions. The population of the Northern Kazakhstan is located in average comfortable medical and climatic conditions. According to the considered classes of diseases the most informative bioclimatic index for this region was the equivalent-effective air temperature, and the whole set of indices was interconnected with diseases of urogenital system.
