Defender, Scientist, Teacher (to the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of the Famous Voronezh Geographer)

Abstract

The article is dedicated to the anniversary of the famous geographer, geomorphologist N.S. Bevz and is devoted to the main milestones of his life, scientifi c and pedagogical activities at the Department of Physical Geography of the Voronezh State Pedagogical University and the active activities of the Voronezh Branch of the Russian Geographical Society. The article uses the memoirs and publications of N.S. Bevz's colleagues. N.S. Bevz is a man who has lived a bright life, who has managed to combine a variety of qualities – a warrior, defender of the Fatherland, a scientist who gave geomorphological science new ideas, a teacher at a pedagogical university who educates geography teachers.
