Design and Development of the Geoportal Systems to Support Management Decision-Making Processes for Sustainable Regional Development

The research is devoted to solving the problem of development and implementation of project-oriented geoportals as access points to arrays of spatial data, providing decision support processes in the fi eld of management of territorial-distributive systems to achieve sustainable regional development. Materials and methods. The geoportal «Metageosystems of Mordovia. Spatial data of the Region» This geoportal is designed to solve the problem of interactive visualization of thematic digital maps of the region. It is based on the study of test sites system, which are located in the area of interaction of geosystems of the Volga upland and Oka-Don lowland. The geosystems of the test sites are analysed on the basis of territorial-structural, genetic and historical principles. Results and discussion. The module of adaptive visualisation of spatial data on metageosystems, a set of algorithms providing spatial data manipulation, a software framework controlling the geoportal operation logic, including the functionality of interactive editing of the system database by means of a graphical user interface were implemented for the geoportal functioning. Conclusion. The geoportal «Metageosystems of Mordovia. Spatial data of the Region» is available at http://meta.rgo.life/, the list of its thematic layers forms a set of thematic spatial data on metageosystems and landscapes, the systemic analysis of which allows us to solve the problem of a comprehensive analysis of the area of the Republic of Mordovia.
