Abstract

The purpose of the study is to assess the dynamics of accessibility of primary health care to the rural popu lation of the Chuvash Republic for 2019 and 2024. Materials and methods. The analysis was carried out from the point of view of three aspects: personnel or medical coverage, geographical and integrated accessibility of medical care. The main calculations were carried out using the ma trix method, and then the growth rate for each of the municipal districts of the Chuvash Republic was calculated relative to each aspect in the allocated time period. The materials for the research were received from central district hospitals and the Ministry of Health of the Chuvash Republic. Results and discussion. Three groups of municipal districts have been identifi ed based on the growth rate of integrated availability of primary health care to the rural population of Chuvash Republic. The group with a signifi cant decrease in the growth rate of the indicator includes 9 municipal districts, where the indicator varies from -15 % to -44 %. In the category with a slight decrease in this indicator, 7 municipal districts are classifi ed, where a range of values is observed from -0.1 % to -14 %. The next group includes 5 municipal districts where there is a slight increase in the integrated accessibility indi cator, where indicators range from 0 % to 14 %. The largest decrease in this indicator was recorded in municipal districts, which were most subject to the optimization process. Conclusions. It turned out that in the vast majority of municipal districts there is a negative trend in the indicator of the integrated accessibility of primary health care. This is primarily caused by a decrease in the growth rate of geographical accessibility. However, a less negative trend regarding the dynamics of staffi ng indicators is explained by an increase in the workload of therapists and general practitioners in the treatment of most groups of diseases.
