The purpose of the research is to calculate the level of load on the infrastructure serving tourists: collective accommodation establishments, catering facilities and transport facilities. Materials and methods. Data on the number of beds and the number of persons accommodated in collective accommodation establishments in the regional context, data on the total number of passengers per year and annual capacity of airports, one-time capacity of railway stations are used. Mathematical methods are used in calculations, cartographic methods are used in their visualisation, and comparative-geographical methods are used in analysis. Results and discussion. Groups of regions with exceeded or approaching the limit burden were identifi ed: 1. Regions – resort centres and centres of economic and tourist life; 2. Regions with growing tourist popularity; 3. Regions with a combination of growing fl ow of tourists and shift workers in other branches of specialisation; 4. Regions with poorly developed infrastructure, not popular with tourists. Conclusions. The heaviest burden is placed on transport infrastructure facilities; in regions that are popular tourist destinations, the load on public catering facilities is increased. Recommendations: easing the administrative burden on the SME sector in combination with the provision of benefits to it. It contributes to the withdrawal of businesses from the shadow sector; redistribution of transport fl ows, which requires the creation of alternative transport hubs; reducing the concentration of tourists in popular regions.
