Abstract

The basis of the study was the data comparing the actual yields with the biopotential. As a result, areas with different efficiency of agrarian nature management were identified. The first group includes areas with the optimal efficiency of using the biopotential – the actual yield is close to the biopotential. The second group united regions with average efficiency – the actual yield in them is at least 75 % of the biopotential. The third group consists of areas with low efficiency – the actual yield in which is less than biopotential by 25 percent or more. Thus, it was revealed that the average actual yield of cereals in the steppe zone of Russia is 75 % of the biopotential and the vast majority of municipal areas has a low efficiency of agrarian nature management.
