Abstract

A com prehensive analysis of species of the genus Astragalus on the territory of the Voronezh region with taxonomic, morphological, ecological, phytocenotic and geographical description has been given. The total number of species of the genus Astragalus in the regions of the Central Black Soil Region of Russia was counted taking into account new information received by the members of the staff of the geography, geoecology and tourism faculty during the implementation of the project «Flora of the Central Black Soil Region». The causes of the large species diversity of Astragalus in the southeast of the Central Black Soil Region have been specified. The table of characteristics of the species of the genus Astragalus in the Voronezh region with an indication of their life form, ecological type, phytocenotic confinement and occurrence in the municipal areas of the Voronezh region according to herbarium data has been compiled.
