The article considers the comparative assessment of the development potentials of the Far Eastern regions for three periods (1995-1998, 2005-2009, and 2010-2014).For a comparative assessment of the used potentials, the method of ranks has been chosen.With its help, the authors constructed the rating of regions and conducted their typology on the level of development of potentials. Using the correlation coefficients, the interdependence of the main factors of development of the regions for three time periods has been assessed. It showed a very high interrelation between them. On the basis of the obtained results, the authors constructed a scheme for the interdependence of development factors in the regions of the Far East and revealed the most significant of them in modern conditions.
