Abstract

This article presents the analysis of atmospheric pollution in the Slyudyansky district. Pollution of the air basin above the water area of Baikal Lake mainly comes from settlements located directly around the lake. The article covers the area along the southern part of the coast. In Baikalsk there was a decrease in concentrations of foul-smelling gases caused by the closure of JSC «Baikal Pulp and Paper Mill». Air pollution was determined from the average and maximum values of single concentrations of impurities.
