Abstract

Mountainous part of the republic of Kabardino-Balkaria is a huge repository of fresh water, which formed the origins of Chegem river Terek, Malka, Baksan, Cherek, water which the population of the plains, used for different purposes. The study of water quality mountainous regions of the Caucasus is an extremely important scientific and practical importance, as is the background area, to change the parameters on which to judge the degree of local, regional and global pollution. The chemical composition of river waters and mountainous areas Bezengi Balkar gorges on the iron content, allowed to provide a comparative analysis of the results from the environmental classes of surface water, as well as to present the background concentration for rivers Cherek-Bezengiisky and Cherek-Balkarsky.
