Abstract

The purpose of the article is to introduce the geographical community with new biographical materials about Professor F. N. Milkov. Materials and methods. We used published scientific articles and archival materials of professor F. N. Milkov in the analysis of relations between scientists. Results and discussion. The article focuses on professional and personal relationships between Prof. F. N. Milkov and three well-known in science professors of the geographical faculty of Moscow University N. A. Gvozdetsky, N. I. Mikhailov and N. A. Solntsev. The focus is on problems of scientific cooperation, friendship and conflicts. Conclusion. Nineties of the twentieth century – the time of death of bright, original, uncompromising scientists, who left a significant baggage of knowledge about the nature of our Earth.
