Тhe article examines the reaction of the French right to the weakening of the League of Nations following Germany’s withdrawal from the organization in the autumn of 1933. It analyzes the right’s attitude towards the reform of the League proposed by Benito Mussolini. The article explains the reasons for the importance of the League of Nations in the eyes of the French right and shows the origins of their ambivalent attitude towards the organization.
