Тhe article analyzes the political risks accompanying the structural economic reforms initiated in the Republic of Turkey after the shift in economic policy in mid-2023. The main focus is on the intra-elite conflict between the traditional populist wing of the ruling elite and the new technocratic bloc, as well as tensions within the ruling coalition. The pragmatic transformation of macroeconomic policy is examined, including the transition to orthodox monetary policy, the tightening of fi scal discipline, and cooperation with international financial in stitutions. The author concludes that the «new economic policy» serves as a tool for preserving power in the context of the exhaustion of the previous model, and its success depends on the authorities' ability to maintain political stability and coordination amid internal contradictions and external challenges.
