What substance can be called pure?

Objectives: The concept of a substance and the features of its composition, purity, and homogeneity are considered. Substances that consist of particles of the same type and have constant properties under the same conditions are usually called pure. Absolutely pure substances do not exist because contamination with impurities is energetically favorable and occurs spontaneously. There is no unified international classification of substances by purity. Therefore, the purity of substances is assessed by comparing the measured value of a property with that required for using the substance in a functional device.
Conclusions: Using statistical methods, substances for which the deviation of the measured property value from the weighted average does not exceed the confidence limits can be considered homogeneous
