Commercialization and privatization of air traffic services: challenges and opportunities

Abstract

Article examines legal issues of commercialization and privatization of entities performing air traffic services functions taking into account that such functions stem from the international obligations of each State. Based on analysis of different States’ experience the advantages and disadvantages of commercialization and privatization of air traffic services are demonstrated and alternative ways of modernization and achievement of economic efficiency in this sphere are proposed.
