Abstract

Evaluation of the effectiveness of the activities of regional executive authorities is one of the key factors in improving the quality of public administration at the regional level. However, the content of the current legislative and subordinate regulation shows the imperfection of the norms defining performance indicators in terms of their correlation with the powers of these bodies. The existing performance indicators actually characterize the quality of work of not only regional, but also federal executive authorities. The article formulates a conclusion on the expediency of improving the current rules, including the introduction of a new model that provides a comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness of the activities of federal and regional executive authorities that operate in a particular industry or public administration.
