In this paper, the problem of the prospects of digitalization of the civil process in modern Russian realities is considered. The issues of the defi nitive defi nition of artifi cial intelligence, its place in the system of civil legal relations, its signifi cance for procedural science and judicial practice are investigated. The author draws conclusions about the expediency of using artifi cial intelligence as a judge's companion and the prematurity of the idea of a complete transition to electronic justice.
