Implementation of the objectives of the decree of the government of the Russian federation dated 29.04.2021 № 1138-r regarding the creation of a probation system in Russia based on the experience of foreign countries

Abstract

The article is devoted to the consideration of the issue of the prospects of creation in the Russian Federation, the Institute of Probation, taking into account the requirements of the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated 04.29.2021 No. 1138-r "On the Concept of development of the penal system of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030". The author comes to the conclusion that the creation of a national service in the Russian Federation has great prospects, since a well-developed probation system not only prevents criminalization of the individual, reduces repeat crime and reduces the burden on the penitentiary system, but also contributes to reducing the overall crime rate in society.
