Abstract

Mediation is an object of active scientific discussion in the modern period, but a comprehensive scientific understanding of this phenomenon has not developed at the level of the general theory of law. Therefore, the purpose of our article is to reveal the historical evolution and the modern significance of the mediation institute. In our work, we aim to analyze meditative social relations in law in various historical periods and the continuity of these procedures with modernity. It is concluded that meditative legal relations are a natural result of the historical development of law, both in foreign and domestic legal systems.
