Zakupnichestvo as a unique type of credit relations in ancient Russia

This article examines the problems of the institution of zakupnichestvo, known from the text of the Long Edition of Russian Law, are examined from the position of credit legal relations and usury. An analysis of various points of view regarding this phenomenon, which was formed in domestic science in the pre-revolutionary, Soviet and modern periods, is carried out. The nature of zakupnichestvo as a legal phenomenon in the legislation of the Ancient Russian state and its role in the life of society are determined.
