Legal basis for the functioning of the institution of bankruptcy in the russian credit market in the second half of the XIX – early XX century

Abstract

The article is devoted to a comprehensive study of the state-legal regulation of the institute of bankruptcy of commercial credit institutions in the Russian Empire. The author focuses on the study of the formation of legislation on the bankruptcy procedure of private banks from the perspective of the historical and legal method. Draws parallels about some continuity of the modern legal policy of the institute of bankruptcy. The author comes to the conclusion that at the end of the XIX – beginning of the XX century an effective system of norms regulating bankruptcy procedures in the system of Russian private commercial institutions was formed.
