Abstract

The growing awareness of a person’s individuality and uniqueness leads to the fact that there is a desire to protect identity from unauthorized appropriation by outsiders. In addition, the development of artificial intelligence and information technology threatens the theft and use of the appearance of people around the world. These two trends of the 21st century actualize the right of publicity, giving it a new meaning. Such a question has not been sufficiently studied in Russian literature. In the article, the author uses Kantian philosophy to consider the essence of the right of image. The author suggests proceeding from the ideal principles of understanding the image of a person in today’s reality.
