Abstract

The article is devoted to the status of local self-government bodies in the unified system of public authority of the Russian Federation in the light of the constitutional reform of 2020. The article examines the issue of searching for possible forms of interaction between the state authorities of the Russian Federation and local governments aimed at improving the quality of municipal rule-making. The directions for further improvement of legislation in terms of maintaining the register of municipal regulatory legal acts by the authorities of the subjects of the Russian Federation, synchronization of current legislation and law enforcement practice in this area are also being considered.
