Abstract

It is analyzes the current practice of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation on the issue of the apparent authority. The highest court examines cases of protection of the apparent authority more often than it refers to the relevant rules. In some cases, the court, using controversial arguments, comes to a decision different from the one that would have been made using the doctrine of the apparent authority.
