The variety of approaches to the definition of administrative procedure and their significance in the Russian legal doctrine

The relevance of this article is determined by the need to improve public administration in a rapidly transforming society. To date, a number of problems of the theoretical and legal institute of administrative procedures remain unresolved, in particular, there is no universal definition of administrative procedure. The article presents the results of an analysis of the main approaches to the legal nature of administrative procedures, discusses their advantages and disadvantages. The author has identified five main approaches to understanding administrative procedures, one of which is universal and is noted as the most relevant to modern legal reality.
