Abstract

Digitalization of social relations, widespread introduction of information technology, and the spread of the Internet lead to a transformation of the relationships themselves, the role of subjects, such relationships and new challenges and threats to information security. Minors are one of the target groups for destructive influence, psychological manipulation, and the danger of consequences for social connections and interactions. Accordingly, the emerging layer of legal support for children’s information security is beginning to find its implementation in the form of educational projects, extracurricular activities, events for parents, etc. At the same time, issues of protecting the personal data of minors still remain outside the scope of detailed legal regulation, which leads to possible adverse consequences not only in the area of unlawful attacks, but also within the framework of useful resources. The purpose of this article is to pose problems and develop ways to resolve them in the fi eld of processing personal data of minors and their parents (legal representatives) in connection with the functioning of the FSIS «My School». Issues regarding the processing of personal data of minors that require resolution at the legislative level are also noted. The work uses methods of both empirical (analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, systematization) and theoretical (methods of constructing and studying the object of study and methods of constructing and justifying theoretical knowledge) levels, comparative legal, historical methods.
