Abstract

The article is devoted to the comparative legal analysis of the legal regulation of forest relations in Russia and some foreign countries. The issues of legal regulation of forest management, protection, protection of forests and conservation of biological diversity in Russia and a number of foreign countries are studied. The well-established mechanism of the state control and supervision system is an important element in forest relations. Based on the results of the analysis of foreign experience in the fi eld of forest relations, the authors note different approaches of foreign countries to solving the problem of protecting forest resources. By borrowing the experience of some countries, it is possible to identify and adapt best practices that have been tested by time and conditions of various environmental and economic situations. The introduction of successful foreign models of forest management and protection into Russian legislation will enhance the improvement of the environmental situation and the creation of a sustainable forest management system in Russia.
