Abstract

This article reveals the international legal aspects of the formation of the Swiss Confederation. Two stages of the development of Swiss statehood are distinguished, revealing the key transformations caused by historical events. The features of legal regulation of the international legal status of the Confederation are studied. The author substantiates the conclusion about the legal traditions of Switzerland in the international legal aspect: pluralism, neutrality, democracy and international cooperation.
