Abstract

The article considers the deformed legal consciousness as a distorted consciousness. The deformation of legal consciousness arises as a result of awareness of legal reality in extremes – bringing legal phenomena to a maximum or, conversely, reducing them to zero. There is an 8-form deformed sense of justice. The forms coexist in pairs as opposite extremes: 1) legal nihilism and legal idealism; 2) legal pedantry and legal dilettantism; 3) legal conformism and legal nonconformism; 4) legal infantilism and legal pragmatism. The article indicates the circumstances in which a deformed sense of justice can play a positive role.
