Abstract

The main factors that have had a direct impact on the uncontrolled growth of crimes committed in modern cyberspace have been identified; a causal relationship has been established between global events and the uncontrolled growth of cybercrime from 2020 to the present; a meticulous analysis of statistical data provided by competent authorities of foreign states and international organizations was conducted regarding the growth of cybercrimes committed over the past three years; the structure of the phenomenon under study was studied; the main characteristics inherent in such a negative modern phenomenon as cybercrime are revealed.
