Introduction of criminal liability of legal entities as a perspective direction in the evolution of Russian criminal legislation

Abstract

The article is devoted to the issue of introducing criminal liability of legal entities in the Russian Federation from the position of the priority of the development of this direction in the Russian legal system. The study questions the adherence to the principle of personal culpable responsibility, based on the analysis of the ongoing changes in the geopolitical arena, directly affecting the modern legal reality, as well as in the conditions of dynamic growth of the activities of legal entities and the expansion of their influence. In support of the position, the author provides positive changes, the perspective of which is associated with the introduction of the institute of criminal liability of legal entities in the Russian Federation, in particular, reflected the potential impact of the institution on the level of cooperation with economically developed countries, the implementation of international obligations, the legal regulation of artificial intelligence, robotic technologies, the organization of international investment cooperation, prevention of offenses at the local level. In conclusion the position on necessity of criminalization of illegal activity of legal entities is expressed.
