The article presents the results of a study aimed at identifying linguistic signs of decreased volitional activity. The relevance of the chosen topic is determined by the high attention of modern humanitarian knowledge to the problem of professional burnout as one of the significant socio-psychological phenomena and the need to clarify the diagnostic tools used to identify this syndrome. The language material was the author's notes and observations made during trainings on professional burnout prevention, as well as texts from various Internet forums devoted to this problem.
