General characteristics of the legal basis for the status of a notarius in the Russian Federation

Abstract

The article provides a general description of the legal basis for the status of a notary in the Russian Federation. It highlights the shortcomings of the current Fundamentals of Notary Law and other legal acts that regulate certain elements of the notary's status. The article formulates and justifies proposals for improving the legislation in this area.
