Abstract

The nature of sports law and its place (status) in the Russian Federation legal system are explored based on analysis of a wide range of theoretical and normative sources. The result of this study allows to conclude that while modern Russian sports law, being a complex normative entity, is at an early stage of establishment as a branch of law, it is presently characterised by specialised object, principles, subjects, sources and other significant parameters of legal regulation in the sphere of physical culture and sports.
