Abstract

The Civil Code of the Russian Federation establishes the protection of the rights of performers, conductors and stage directors. However, there is uncertainty in the provisions on related rights as to whether the performance as a single object is protected or whether the performances of the conductors and the productions of the stage directors are independent objects. We believe that the performance of the conductor and the performance of the musicians are protected as one performance. On the contrary, the performance of the artists and the production of the stage director should be regulated as different objects.
