Abstract

The article deals with the problems of administrative and legal regulation of the exam on knowledge of Russian as a foreign language, history and fundamentals of legislation of Russia and of testing on knowledge of Russian as a foreign language for foreign citizens. Taking into account existing legal gaps and the encountered violations of legislation the article gives proposals for improving the procedure for conducting exams and tests. The author comes to the conclusion that it is necessary to digitalize the exam and testing process and actively use artificial intelligence methods, which will also help to minimize human contacts and is particularly relevant in the context of the possible re-introduction of restrictive measures in connection with the potential spread of infection.
