Abstract

2021 marks the centenary of the introduction of the New Economic Policy (NEP) in the USSR. The Soviet legislation on employment and protection of the population from unemployment of this period allowed to accumulate a rich experience of legal regulation of this area of public relations. But how much is this experience in demand today? In this matter, the historical and legal analysis comes to the rescue, building a certain (including chronological) sequence of the adoption and abolition of political attitudes in the field of employment regulation and establishing the continuity of individual norms that have become the starting point in the formation of the modern system of legislation on employment.
