Latent crime: concept, non-homogeneous nature, preventive measures

Abstract

The article reveals the nature of latent crimes, considers their types, on the basis of which a conclusion is made about their inhomogeneity (heterogeneity). The role of the personnel policy of law enforcement agencies in the prevention of latent crimes is defined. A statistical analysis of the state of crime in law enforcement authorities has been carried out. On the basis of the statistical analysis carried out, the author came to the conclusion that there is an increase in latent crime in Russia. The features of identifying certain types of latent crimes are indicated. The main preventive measures aimed at preventing latent crime in Russia have been identified.
