Abstract

The report is devoted to one of the fundamental principles of the continental mixed-type criminal procedure, known as the “secrecy of the investigation”. The moral basis of this principle is analyzed and the necessity of strict observance of the principles of the criminal procedure in order to avoid destructive consequences is proved.
