The article deals with the problem of communication competence of the participants of civil proceedings and its influence on the quality of justice. The author proposes a combination of communicative skills necessary for successful communication in court, as well as analyzes some aspects of the civil procedural form from the point of view of detecting opportunities for the effective application of such skills
