The relationship between the development of agricultural production and riral areas

Abstract

Importance: agricultural production is one of the key sectors of the real sector of the Russian economy, providing jobs and incomes for a significant part of the population, in turn, it is spatially located mainly in rural areas occupying more than 90% of the country’s territory, respectively, these territories play a key role in ensuring national food security. As a result, the study of the mutual influence of the development of agricultural production and rural areas is an urgent issue of modern research. Purpose: to theoretically substantiate the relationship between the development of agricultural production and the sustainable development of rural areas. Research design: the method of data analysis and systematization was used to conduct the study. Scientific publications, statistical data and reports on the research topic were studied. Based on the data obtained, the factors influencing the development of agricultural production and rural areas were identified, and the relationship between them was established. Results: the key factors influencing the development of rural areas and agricultural production were identified and classified, it was found that these factors are bilateral in nature, that is, they actively influence each other’s development. Based on an integrated approach, a model of the interdependence of the development of agricultural production and rural areas was developed, taking into account the mutually reinforcing foundations of this process.
