Analysis of the state and development of state regulation in the vegetable oils market

Importance: The subject of this study is the analysis of the state of the Russian vegetable oil market, the search for and justification of promising measures for its state regulation. Purpose: to study the market situation for vegetable oils and measures of state regulation. Research design: an important reason for state regulation of the market is the need to solve macroeconomic problems: stimulating economic growth, ensuring full employment of the working population, combating inflation, supporting exports, combining the principles of social justice and economic efficiency, etc. Results: the state and trends that have developed in recent years in the domestic and export markets of vegetable oils in general and for individual types of oil, as well as related products, have been studied. The problems typical for the domestic market of vegetable oils have been identified and summarized. The causes and consequences of the pronounced export orientation in the development of the domestic oil and fat subcomplex are investigated, and the consequences of this state of affairs for the prospects of the domestic market are assessed. The mandatory labeling of consumer products based on vegetable oils, which is being gradually introduced, has been considered as an element of regulation and stimulation of the development of the domestic market, as well as a method for solving such a problem as information deficit and quality claims.
