Knowledge as a strategic resource of an organization

Importance: the subject of this study is the individual essential features of knowledge as a production resource of organizations, namely those that prove its strategic nature. Purpose: proof of the strategic nature of knowledge as a resource for its subsequent correct management. Research design: strategic decisions are typically more important for companies than tactical ones due to their greater scale, importance, and duration of implementation. This consideration is one of the reasons for clearly defining the scope of strategic decisions and devoting greater information and expertise resources to their adoption and justification. In this article, knowledge management is included in the field of strategic management. Results: a definition of knowledge management strategy is provided, along with its boundaries, scope, and scope of application. Key characteristics of cumulative organizational knowledge are identified and deciphered. The conditions for classifying a production resource as a strategic management resource are defined-scale of distribution and impact on achieving strategic goals, economic value, uniqueness, and shelf life. The presence of all these characteristics in organizational knowledge as a resource is demonstrated. Therefore, the development and replenishment of organizational knowledge in any company is particularly important, requiring attention, investment, and competent management.
