Analysis of material incentive tools for young hotel workers of the hospitality industry in the external labor market

Importance: in conditions of personnel shortage and the increasing role of the younger generation in the labor market, employers face the problem of competition for young workers. Material incentive tools act as a competitive advantage in the selection of new young personnel for the company. Purpose: article is devoted to problem of identification the main material labor simulation tools used by employers in the hospitality industry to attract workers to the external labor market, as well as determination the degree to which they correspond to the structure of labor motives of modern youth. Research design: based on the data from the Head Hunter, a content analysis of vacancies offered to young employees in the hospitality industry was conducted. As a result, an assessment of the incentive effect of wages was given, as well as the prevalence of other instruments of monetary and non-monetary material incentives. The interpretation of the results was carried out using the model of labor motives of the younger generation of workers. Results: the results of an empirical research revealed the tools of material incentives actually used in practice, offered by employers in the hospitality industry for young workers. We have identified reserves for increasing the competitiveness of vacancies by adapting the tools actually used to an incentive system that reflects the priorities of young workers’ work motives.
