Abstract

Importance: a set of theoretical aspects and practical approaches to the possibilities of introducing and integrating promising digital financial assets into the dynamic system of the modern Russian digital economy in the form of cryptocurrency, digital ruble, and ruble stablecoin A7A5. Purpose: research on the transformation of the ruble in the process of the evolution of the digital economy, assessment of the advantages, prospects for implementation, and associated risks of digital currencies. Research design: a review of scientific works and studies covering the field of digital currencies was conducted. The main types of digital currencies, their similarities and differences, as well as practical aspects of their use in foreign practice and possibilities for application in the Russian economy were characterized. A matrix of comparative analysis of digital financial assets was constructed, which allows digital assets to be differentiated according to various criteria. Research design: a review of scientific works and studies covering the field of digital currencies has been conducted. The main types of digital currencies, their similarities and differences, as well as practical aspects of their use in foreign practice and possibilities for application in the Russian economy are described. A matrix of comparative analysis of digital financial assets has been constructed, which allows digital assets to be differentiated according to various criteria. Results: the results of the study are the systematization of ideas for revealing the essence and content of each digital asset, its characteristic features, and its potential applications in the modern digital economy. The general and significant differences between digital assets are highlighted. The experience of foreign countries in applying digital assets in society is presented, and the prospects for their introduction into the Russian economy are outlined. The conclusions can be used in the formation of regulatory policy and the development of strategies for the application of digital currencies in Russia.
