Prospects for payment means and systems in the XXI century

Abstract

The article is devoted to solving scientific problems of boundaries
of possible forms of money and their future. The author put forward science
fiction hypothesis that time will play the role of money in the future. The aim
of the article is to test the hypothesis and to define nature and evolution of
payment means and systems and their development prospects. Discussion:
The author analyzes the historical forms of payment means systems and
explores the electronic payment systems, which are a modern form of
money, and determine the prospects for their further development. Results:
Based on the results of the study the author puts forward by science fiction
and puts forward the hypothesis refuted by scientific hypothesis, according
to which in the future there will be formed a mobile payment system, and
the role that money will play mobile payments using accounts of mobile
operators and mobile phones.
