Abstract

Purpose: the authors set a goal to analyze the current state of Russian-African relations and develop proposals for their strengthening and intensification. Discussion: the authors analyze the development of ties between the russian federation and the african continent. The article sets around the existing high potential in the field of trade and investment cooperation between russia and the region. It also deals with the priority directions of collaboration with the countries of the african continent in general and some states in particular. results: the authors conclude that further development of Russian-African relations requires a new strategy (concept) of russian policy in africa, the improvement and implementation of new mechanisms to support exporters and investors, the provision of humanitarian, scientific and technical assistance to african partners, as well as information, analytical and expert support to russian companies when doing business in africa.
