Functioning features of tourist and recreational type economic zones in Russia

Abstract

Purpose: the author explores special economic zones of tourist and recreational type in Russia, identifying features of their functioning and identifying problems that hinder their development. Discussion: An analysis of the special economic zones of the tourist and recreational type of the Russian Federation will help identify ways to increase the efficiency of the region’s investment potential by identifying and eliminating the factors hindering their development, as well as popularizing tourist products corresponding to a particular zone. Results: the author determined the range of common and specific problems of tourist and recreational type economic zones development in modern Russia.
